Egg Planning

My team followed through the first step in the planning process. We knew what we had to do and how much time we have to do it. The second step in the process we only did half of it. We only identified our resources and didn't identify the strengthens and weaknesses of our group members. Steps 3, 4, and 5 was follow through by my group. We went over multiple plans before ultimately deciding on the best one and we did allocate the job of dropping the egg to the the shortest person in our group. Overall our planning was not successful because we failed the task. I think if we spent more time on the figuring out the goal, my group would have been much more successful.

On my opinion, we should ask our Prof. to show us how do this assignment without breaking the egg. I am sure there are some other way of doing it beside jointing the straw and the tape and "DROP" it.

This was a tough task for everyone, especially with limited resources. I think that your group thought what was the best choice at the time, and you should not consider it as a failure, since we all thought that we had to literally drop the egg! But from this task we learned that there might be several ways to achieve a sucessful result and we can use this experience for the next task.

I agree with you that time was not enough in this exercise! we were rushing for the design, the planning, building and get everyone cooperate, and most of us failed the task! But good choice for choosing the right person to drop the egg!haha! That's how I remember your group! Anyway, it was fun doing it!

Totally agree with Jl, we could have save our grade if we asked the Prof.!

I came to class tired after a long day at work. If your group was lucky enough to have the bright idea to just lower the egg into the basket (mine was not one of those groups), then the task would be easy. I felt kind of let down that the exercise was more of a trick than a true planning experience. Though it was a lot of fun!
